This witty and irreverent play explores the complexities of acting, the pressures of fame, and the eternal struggle between art and commerce. I Hate Hamlet follows the story of Andrew Rally, a struggling actor who is offered the role of Hamlet in a prestigious Broadway production. As he grapples with the challenges of playing one of Shakespeare’s most iconic characters, Andrew is haunted by the ghost of John Barrymore, a legendary actor who once played the same role. Filled with sharp wit, clever dialogue, and a healthy dose of meta-theater, I Hate Hamlet is a must-see for fans of comedy and theater alike. NOTICE: This production contains brief sequences of flashing lights, sudden loud noises, and theatrical fog/haze.
