“Inspecting Carol,” written by Daniel Sullivan and directed by Mark Taylor, is a side-splitting comedy that blends elements of “A Christmas Carol,” “The Government Inspector,” and “Noises Off.” This hilarious hit, originally from Seattle, follows the story of a man who arrives at a small theater seeking an audition but is mistakenly identified as an informer for the National Endowment for the Arts. The bewildered aspiring actor is suddenly the center of attention, as the entire cast caters to his needs, ultimately assigning him a role in their production of “A Christmas Carol.” Chaos ensues as everything that can go wrong does, leading to a whirlwind of comedic mishaps and uproarious moments. This wildly irreverent solo show is a heartfelt holiday parody that looks at the life of a grown-up Cindy Lou Who. Starring our own Executive Director of TTC, Adrienne Dobson.
A middle-aged Cindy Lou Who, now residing in a beaten-down trailer in the snowy hills of Mount Crumpit, is about to host a Christmas Eve party for her friends. As she prepares, she recalls from her own perspective that fated night when she first met the Grinch, and the strange turn of events her life has taken for the past 40 years.
