This is a group of four incredibly talented musicians and actors who were selected by Louise Harrison, the sister of the late George Harrison of The Beatles. Louise’s involvement in Liverpool Legends makes them the ONLY Beatles Tribute Band with a direct family link to the original Fab Four.
Liverpool Legends recorded and produced all The Beatles songs for the album “Fab Fan Memories.” For this project they, along with Louise Harrison, were nominated for a Grammy Award. Tickets can be found the link above.

Monarch butterflies will fill the skies again on Saturday, July 20, 9 am – 12 pm, at Wish Upon a Butterfly, an annual fundraiser at the Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History. This symbolic event highlights the elegant monarch, the Texas state insect. This year, festivities begin inside the Museum where guests may make a “wish keepsake” and other butterfly crafts before receiving their purchased butterflies outside from 10 – 10:30 am for release.
One butterfly ticket purchase per family includes admission inside the Museum where visitors may enjoy the observation bee hive, butterfly displays, live music, refreshments, activities, and other Museum exhibits.

On the evening of July 10 during Municipal School, TEEX instructors will explain and demonstrate techniques used to extinguish fires on several full-scale, live-fire training props. Come out to TEEX Brayton Fire Training Field for this firefighting demonstration. Gates open at 6:30 p.m., and the event will begin at approximately 7:30 p.m. It is important to stay hydrated. Water stations are provided at the event, but they encourage attendees to bring water. Wear closed-toe shoes and loose clothing. No pets allowed. Can’t make it in person? Paint Out Bryan 2024 hosted by The Visual Art Society, in conjunction with the Downtown Bryan Street and Art Fair and Destination Bryan, is an event open to all artists who wish to paint or draw the scenes of Historic Downtown Bryan in the lively atmosphere of the Art Fair! This two-day event celebrates the beauty of plein air painting and brings together artists, businesses, and the community in a vibrant cultural experience. The event will kick off on Friday, April 12 with artists painting in the downtown area followed by a kick-off party Friday evening for artists and art lovers and live painting again at the fair on Saturday. VAS will assist with sales of the artist’s work in their tent Saturday.

Chanticleer, a San Francisco based cappella group hailed by The New Yorker as “the world’s reigning male chorus,” will perform one concert in Rudder Theatre in College Station on Thursday, April 11 at 7 PM, first time since their appearance in town more than 30 years ago. Brought by the collaboration of Friends of Chamber Music, BCS and the School of Performance, Visualization & Fine Arts at Texas A&M University (SPVFA), the concert program of the GRAMMY® Award-winning artists will feature a breathtaking journey through five centuries of a cappella music. Messina Hof is well-known for its Murder Mysteries which are their own brand of “dinner theater”, that date back to the Middle Ages. Guests would dine and enjoy entertainment from actors and storytellers. However, with Messina Hof’s Murder Mysteries, our guests are the actors and storytellers. Before the date of the event, each guest will receive a character assignment which will help with finding a costume. Each Murder Mystery Dinner is led by an equally thematic host, who will “set the stage” so to speak, and guide you through the story. Not only will you be treated to a fabulous dinner, but each course is expertly paired with one of Messina Hof’s award-winning wines. In between each course, each character will be able to interact and collect clues as to who the murderer is. Or is it you? If so, then make sure you’re clever enough to avoid suspicion… Admission is $75 per person.

Her work is primarily water media and collage, but she is best known for her “watercolor batik.” “Her batiking process is an exciting one, building layer upon layer of wax and color on Japanese Ginwashi rice paper as the painting progresses,” a spokesperson said. Other mediums to be examined will be the use of Geli Plates to “pull” prints and create collages, as well as creating watercolors through the use of texturizing and stenciling with overlays using rich accents or pastel pencils. All levels of painters, beginner to advanced, are encouraged to join this workshop which will be taught in a step-by-step manner. A list of general supplies will be provided upon registration. George will also provide palettes of watercolor paint at a minimal cost to those who are new to the medium but still wish to learn the process. The basic cost is $310 for the two-day workshop.
